Ian Moore is a highly talented individual. In addition to his pivotal role in The Classic Buskers, he is an organist, musical-arranger, conductor and composer, under the name of Ian de Massini, and has established the highly acclaimed Cambridge Voices, having himself been a choral scholar in the famous choir of King’s College Chapel, Cambridge, before becoming organist of Ely Cathedral. His choir Cambridge Voices have appeared on BBC radio, Austria’s ORF and CBS Television in North America as part of their regular annual tours of Austria, Switzerland, Britain and France. They have amassed thirteen premier CD recordings to date, five of which feature Ian’s own compositions.
In his spare time, Ian performs the complete solo keyboard works of Bach from memory (nobody knows why, he just does) besides works of Shostakovich and Messiaen, and has recently completed Bach’s Art of Fugue, leading to his appointment as Senior Member of Hughes Hall, Cambridge University.
